For many people living in Korea's busy cities, having a place to breathe and clear your mind is essential. For me, that place is the Han River. Sometimes, I even travel all the way to Seoul just to run along the river and let it heal my mind.

The Han River is like paradise for people who enjoy staying active. Whether you are walking, running, or riding a bike, the well-maintained paths give you a sense of freedom. There is something special about running beside the wide river and feeling the rhythm of your footsteps.

You also cannot talk about the Han River without mentioning the famous "Hangang Ramyeon." Even though it is the same ramen you can eat at home, it somehow tastes 100 times better when cooked in the automatic ramen machines at a riverside convenience store! It is the perfect soul food for a picnic with friends or family.

One of my favorite ways to end the day is by finding a cafe with a beautiful view. Watching the sunset color the sky in shades of orange and pink while enjoying a warm cup of coffee is one of the most relaxing moments for me.

Tip: Try visiting the "Cafe Bridges" located on bridges like Yanghwa Bridge or Dongjak Bridge. The elevated view makes the Han River scenery look like a painting.

Why Do I Recommend the Han River?

The Han River is more than just a geographic landmark, it is a place of rest open to everyone. Whether you visit for an energetic workout or simply to enjoy the peaceful scenery, the river warmly welcomes all visitors. If you are feeling stressed or tired, I highly recommend taking a trip to the Han River and finding your own healing moment.
